Small discussion between Tribunnews, SunStar Cebu, and Newsline.

I never thought since February up to March there were some awe yet tremendous experiences.

And yash! I’m millennials.

For young people like me nowadays traveling becomes a part of lifestyle.

Though, need to earn lots of money.

Luckily, I had been asked by my supervisor so I could join ‘Traveling for FREE’ and meet certain fabulous peeps in journalism.

So here is the story:

The title may be written, Twinning Program between Tribunnews, SunStar Cebu, and Newsline (February-March 2017).

February and March could be my new favorite months since that moment.

Again I should say I never thought that it will become special months.

Its begin on Saturday, 4th February 2017.

I had a complicated journey started when Rendy Sadikin as my supervisor had a twinning program with some senior journalists from Philippines.

He asked me to be his partner in translating and interpreting English Philippines since those people had a great English as native, while he knew me as an English major alumnus (?).

I had no idea but I thought it’s gonna be great experiences for my entire life.

And for your information all this program was provided by WAN-IFRA.

The first meeting was held on early February 2017 when SunStar Cebu and Newsline from Philippines came to Tribunnews Indonesia.

Mildred V. Galarpe and Nini Cabaero from SunStar Cebu, Ber Nadine Caduaya and Edith Zaragoza Ging Caduaya from Newsline Davao.

Right after they just arrived, Rendy and I picked them up in Adi Sumarmo airport to the new office, Tribun Wow.

Along the way to the office they were so talktative about how exhausted the long trip while Rendy and I talked about ‘shitty things’, which we didn’t know what they were talking about, speaking in Tagalog, haha!

Out of our expectation dinner celebration of new branch office in Tribun Wow was so crowded.

We even didn’t know what to say to the Pinoys but we still went through that situation.

There I remember Bern couldn’t eat any kind of chicken and meat.

So she just ate fish, if I’m not mistaken.

Then the Pinoys went to the second floor to enjoy the meal.

After that, Rendy took them to Fave Hotel near Tribun Solo office at approximately 9 p.m. since tomorrow morning we would had presentation with them.

Sunday, 5th February 2017

First day meeting in the morning we picked them up at Fave Hotel just by walking to Tribun Solo office.

We had a small presentation and discussion about Tribunnews.com.

Small discussion group between Tribunnews, SunStar Cebu, and Newsline.

Again, they were so active, curious, and had many questions to be asked which make ABS and Yudhie my another supervisors look confused.

There was Junianto, Head of Tribun Solo also joint that discussion.

Meeting was finished, then we all went out look for some dishes.

ABS asked them all to try Bakso Alex.

Bern couldn’t eat soya sauce so she didn’t eat anything while the rest tasted Mie Ayam Bakso and Bakso Komplit.

Monday, 6th February 2017

The second day, I skip my existence and enjoy my day off.

Pinoys even ask Rendy, ‘where am I?’

Then he said I’m just doing fine with my quality time.

If only I could back to the situation I want to spend my day off with them… pfff 😦

They had observed parliament office then asking many questions to reporter at Tribun Style, Tribun Solo, Tribun JualBeli, Tribun Video, and Tribun Wow.

After that they went for vacation to Yogyakarta.

On that day I forgot to bring them to taste some delish pork dishes in Solo, bzzz…

Tuesday, 7th February 2017

Rendy and I picked them up from Fave Hotel to Adi Sumarmo airport.

We went to Adi Sumarmo Airport, saying good bye to Mildred and Nini.

Edith and Bern already left to Singapore by another plane for another business.

That was when the Pinoys visiting Tribunnews in Surakarta, East Java, Indonesia.

The end.

Hmm, what?! Anyway this is not the end of the journey.

As written on the first paragraph these unexpected moments lasted on February up to March.

So, what happened on March?

To be continued…

Pedas Manis Rujak Es Krim di Perempatan Lampu Merah Manahan Solo

Ceritanya siang itu (22/2/2017) sangat terik, tuerik banget.

Yang namanya Kota Solo alias Kota Surakarta atau nama kerennya Kota Bengawan kalau siang panasnya minta ampun.

Giliran hujan anginnya kayak balas dendam.

Well, well jadi curhat.

Buaya Khas Kota Batu

Hmm, Lanjutkan membaca “Buaya Khas Kota Batu”

When They Pluck the Gears, EaR!

Yap, when they pluck the gears, they pluck it soft and deep. Their songs are just like Jason Mraz’s, natural, soft, and so touchy. Suddenly I’m melting and I’m dreaming become a part of EaR Project by Endah n Rhesa!

Ihiw!! Kami sedang liburan di Bali bareng @NIVEA_ID #EnjoyTheSun niiy.. ^_^

English Major

UB portrait for cecxc
